Technology & Design
Established in 1986, Seconique has become one of the largest independent importers and wholesalers of flat pack furniture in the UK.
The flat pack specialists required a completely revamped online ecosystem.
The Challenge
Seconique challenged Bolland & Co to provide a scalable solution that caters to the ongoing needs of their growing customer base, as well as one that matches the design and style of their brand.
The Impact
Bolland & Co began by enacting a series of discovery workshops focussing on user requirements at each customer touchpoint. Secondly, a fundamental facet of this project was to gain a deep understanding of Seconique’s internal challenges and how any existing systems were assisting and enabling the day-to-day running of the business.
The Bolland & Co project team implemented a full redesign and build of the eCommerce website from the ground up, and introduced a refreshed eCommerce journey with an updated look and feel to accurately reflect the stylish home furnishings that Seconique provides. Updated functionality ensured that a unique pricing structure was automatically provided for different customer levels.
To further enable Seconique to best serve the needs of their customers efficiently, Bolland & Co updated and enhanced key elements of the business’ internal processes and systems. This included an in-house integration with existing systems such as Epicor ERP, to ensure product information and data could be automatically communicated with the platform and updated onsite in real-time.
The Results
Bolland & Co continues to enjoy an ongoing collaborative relationship with Seconique. Their updated eCommerce website now provides users with an intuitive and simple user journey that continues to drive increased conversions month on month. And through a deep understanding of the client’s operational needs and by integrating inhouse systems, their employee user experience has been re-imagined, ensuring enhanced operational efficiencies across the business.
