As we’re a close-knit team at Bolland & Co, we recently spoke with our Front-End Developer Rodrigo. About everything from travelling through to his passion for design and where it stemmed from. Here’s what he had to say!
1. Who is Rodrigo?
I am from Madrid and I decided to move to England to improve my English. 6 years later, I am still here thanks to the most amazing person I have ever met, my girlfriend. I love hanging out with my friends but my passion is exploring the countryside and to enjoy nature so you will often find me trekking somewhere up in the mountains.
2. What is the most difficult thing about design work?
Everyone has a different opinion when looking at a piece of artwork. People’s opinions are subjective which always makes the process of creating something quite challenging because you want to impress your audience but at the same time you don’t know what they might think of your designs. So I would say the hardest thing is dealing with that level of uncertainty. If there is something I love about my job is that buzz you get when people like your work.
3. What’s your background in design?
I used to draw a lot when I was a kid so the passion for creation and design began a long time ago. When the digital era became so relevant in our lives I was absolutely drawn into it, I knew this was what I wanted to use my skills for.
4. Why do you like working for Bolland & Co?
Working from home on a Monday is a delight, no one can deny it that is for sure. I also like how chilled it is which gives you a great vibe, and motivates you to do your work stress-free. The fact that everyone at Bolland & Co has a lot of experience makes everything so much easier and less stressful when it comes to launch day.
